It really was a gigantic arrangment of fruit -- both plain and chocolate dipped, plus mylar balloons and a teddy bear from my new boss and his family. Seriously, how cute are these people? Look what they wrote on the card (and Swiffer is their dog!)
I know it's hard to tell from the pictures but I describe the size of this thing as the line from "Popcorn Popping" that says, "I can take an armful and make a treat." Put your arms out in front of you as if you were singing that line of the song and that's how big around it was.
I brought it to my mom's house to take pictures and then we ripped it apart. I filled four containers with the lusciousness and shared fruity love with anyone who was willing to partake. My personal favorite were the chocolate dipped apples. Pure heaven! The marshmallow looking things were chocolate dipped bananas, in case you were wondering.
And more proof of how incredibly spoiled I am: here are my friends Michelle, Donna and DeAnne at the 6th of my 10 birthday lunches/dinners (I know, it really is almost embarrassing!) On this evening I was given Amazon gift cards, a Le Creuset baking dish, a movie and a darling Brighton keychain that I found when we were in Vegas and Michelle sneakily purchased as I stood next to her, oblivious. Gifts are always great but the best part of the evening was relaxing and laughing with three women I've been friends with for more than 20 years. Love these ladies!
