- This morning did not start well. I was pulling out of my driveway into a lot of traffic and quickly see the cause: 4 police cars, a fire engine and a major investigation vehicle. Next I see a motorcycle on its side and next to that, a body covered by a yellow tarp. I read later he was 20 years old. I felt bad all day for his mom and family.
- I'm loving Michael Phelps but perhaps even more, I love that AT&T commercial with the Phelps Phan girl. Hilarious. By the way, I'm not one bit sick of seeing him swim, seeing him win, seeing him set another world record. I love watching people who are so good at what they do.
- It's going to be in the 90s here this weekend. I only dislike how hot my house gets but really, I love summer so I say, bring it on.
- I went to dinner at Olive Garden last night. I really need to remember I don't like their food, with the exception of the salad and breadsticks. After that, I saw "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2." The first one was better.
- I'm going to an opera on Friday night. I haven't been to one since college. This one is Aida. I'm excited!
- I've been on an ice cream cone kick lately -- either Udderly Chocolate or Mint Chocolate Chip...always Tillamook, always in a sugar cone. There really is no better ice cream in the world. Trust me. Even you Utah/Creamery lovers. Come visit me and I'll make you a cone and you'll see what I mean.
- My friend Kim is a new grandma! Kara had her baby last night. His name is Jonathan and he is super cute! Can't wait to meet him!
- Okay, and finally? This Office promo is making me laugh SO hard right now.

So sorry about this morning. Those things make me sick, in a so sad I'm sick way. I also laughed quite hard at the Office promo...yay for fall TV! However...I'm still mystified about how you don't like Olive Garden's food....have you tried their stuffed chicken Marsala? Their chicken scampi? Their fettuccine Alfredo? It's like one of my favorite restaurants (obviously).
*I feel sad for families when I see dead bodies on the road too :o( So sad.
*I love watching Michael Phelps too! I love how he like 'holds back' till the last lap and then kicks into turbo boost mode and wins by a landslide! LOVE IT!
*Summer is also, by far, my favorite, compared to winter.
*I only love Salad & Breadsticks at Olive Garden too! Let's do lunch someday!
*I just learned that Ben & Jerrys has these adorable little teeny tiny ice cream cups (with not so teeny calories) that you can buy at the Commissary for .81 cents! I got cookie dough! YUMMM!
*CONGRATULATIONS KIM ON YOUR NEW GRANDBABY!
