I used to love Michael Jackson when he was still somewhat normal, with his original skin color and mostly original face.
I used to rent the "Making of Thriller" video up at Star Video (the first video store in the neighborhood!) all the time and wanted to own it but videos were so expensive back then. When Michael turned into the werewolf and said "go away" it always scared my little sisters.

After "Thriller" my favorite video was "Say Say Say." Watch it and see how cute Michael was. Oh and don't be freaked out that his "love interest" was LaToya. Paul McCartney was so young!
I prefer not to remember Michael as a child abusing, anorexic, plastic surgery addict. But rather, I'm going to think of him like this: an uber-talented entertainer who made my teen years happy.

I loved the yellow sweater vest poster also! And I remember begging my dad to rent thriller...along with renting a VCR. Do you remember those days of renting them before you had one??
I too had the yellow sweater poster on my wall!! I was so in love with him! And they don't make videos like they used to--that is a seirously good song! :) But he is already starting to look weird in that video.....so sad!
And I totally remember those days, V!! Adventureland video--they only had like 3 that you could even rent!

I so had all of these thoughts this last week. I watched a couple hours of VH1 showing all of his videos back to back. It was weird to see his face change and to see him go from so "cute" to complete nutjob. The women in his videos were always stupid and objectified and LaToya was in his 'the way you make me feel' video too. Oh, and his dance moves were always the same. ALWAYS, and I used to think he was a great dancer,but, he really only had 5 moves. Really.
