Because I've been a jerk all week, my home computer just decided it no longer wants to boot up (some sort of "chipset heat sink" problem that is apparently prevalent in my type of computer.)
I talked to my nice computer sensei at work and it could be a quick/free fix or it could be a new motherboard and he said I could bring it in and he'll try to fix it. The good thing is, I knew my computer was getting ready to give up the ghost so I ordered a laptop the day after Thanksgiving (thus bringing to an end my year of excessive spending on electronics.)
But the moral of this story? Don't be a jerk! It always comes back to bite ya!
p.s. My coworker confronted me right after I got to work yesterday. I sincerely apologized and expressed my regret for being such a jerk and she seems to be fine now.

Kudos for being able to appologize. My SIL has said some bad things about my husband that got back to us, and when I confronted her (over e-mail) she said nothing. No appologies.. no nothing. Great of you for being big enough to say, "I'm sorry" VERY BIG of you.
I thought something was up with you Wed night. I am glad you made amends and feel better. I was a jerk to a total stranger in a store 7 years ago and wish I could apoligize. Guilt is awful.
Rudeness is costly in a lot of ways. When I worked in the records department of a government agency, I always had people trying to bully me into getting them their documents more quickly. We had to say that it takes us 1-3 business days, but it usually only really took 4 hours. Whenever we got someone especially rude, we would make a mark that indicated that this person got to wait the full 3 days! The reason this was costly was that these documents were usually required to buy a home and they lost their rates if they didn't get them in soon enough.
Jeanelle...would you be willing to do an interview for my blog? Email me...I want to do an interview about the "single life." Would you be interested? Please?
